Driving through Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The expanse is unbelievable. It is such a large area. You quickly realise that it would take multiple visits over several years to even get somewhat familiar.
The views are stunning and soothing. They have a healing quality.
The scale of everything out here is large.
We were fortunate that despite the cloud cover, it did not rain. The clouds actually presented us with great visual effects. Almost each picture turned out to have a painting like quality.
