London Paddington at early morning
Early morning at London Paddington station was an entirely different experience than being here during the busy day time. This was around the time when the first trains were rolling out of the station. The play of light was spectacular with the train lights adding the extra drama. ( London, 2017 )
The first time ever I read about Paddington station was in Sherlock Holmes stories. This was in school days. Ever since I was curious to see Paddington station.
History of London Paddington
Paddington is a central London railway terminus and London Underground station. Since 1838, this site has been the London terminus of Great Western Railway. The credit for the design of much of the station goes to Isambard Kingdom Brunel. A bronze statue of Brunel was erected on the station concourse in 1982. The sculptor was John Doubleday and the project was funded by the Bristol and West Building Society.
